Good morning everyone!  I pray this day finds you in good spirits and well prepared for the cold that is heading our way.  Hopefully you got to enjoy the nice weather we had this past weekend.

I start this email with a note from our Community Spiritual Director and Community Lay Director.

” Dear Heartland of Texas Emmaus Community,

In order to foster a greater sense of unity in our community, your Emmaus board considered and passed a resolution to ask the community to vote during our December joint gathering on the following proposal:

That we begin having one gathering a month, on a rotating basis between First United Methodist Church of Marble Falls and First United Methodist Church of Burnet.

So, please be present at our December joint gathering to consider this very significant change.”

Signed,  Rev. Jason Teague and Tirish Mynk

This evening is the north gathering in Leander,  at 107 S W Dr, Leander, TX 78641.  Dinner is at 6 pm and worship is at 7 pm.  Better bring some warms clothes or a coat.  It is supposed to get very cold tonight starting around 7 pm.

This will be the only gathering this month.  Next month there will be the Joint gathering on December 2nd at FUMC Marble Falls.  This is a family gathering, so bring the whole crew and lets rock the church as we celebrate our Lord and Savior and his birth.

Men’s walk 2020 M

The team selection committee met and then presented the team to the Emmaus board who approved the team.  Team members should be notified by the Lay Director or Spiritual Director soon.

December 2nd is the deadline for turning in an application to work on the background team.  You can mail the application in or bring it to one of the gatherings.  The address is on the application:
