Good Afternoon – what a beautiful Wednesday it is! I have LOTS of information to share so please be patient with the length.
What a blessed Men’s Walk we had! The 23 pilgrims arrived in a pouring rain that stopped almost immediately when the last one arrived, followed by the appearance of a gorgeous rainbow hovering directly over the chapel – you just knew at that moment that it was going to be a powerful walk! Candlelight was AMAZING, as always, and was very well attended. Thank you to EVERYONE who had a part in making this walk happen.
Here are the coming May events for HOTEC:
- Monday, May 8 – Board Meeting at Burnet FUMC at 7:00 p.m.
- Monday, May 22 – MAY GATHERING at Bee Creek UMC in Spicewood – meal at 6:00 p.m. followed by worship at 7:00 p.m.
AND for anyone interested in helping the Greater Austin Emmaus Community with their walk this weekend:
- they now have 19 pilgrims reported in case your group is working on Agape items
- CANDLELIGHT will be on Saturday, May 6 at 7:30 p.m. at the chapel at Eagle’s Wings – it would be great if our community could show up to support their pilgrims
Now we turn our attention to the Women’s Walk coming up on October 26-29. We are taking applications at this time for pilgrims and for both conference room and servants’ teams. Please get your applications in as soon as possible, especially for the conference room team positions.
And a final plea for assistance from our community members, particularly in the Spicewood area. We have a community member who is about to start counseling sessions with his wife and needs someone who can sit with two children, ages 5 and 2. This would be a PAID position and would be on Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to about 1:00 p.m. Please respond to me at this email OR at the phone number below, and I will put you in contact with this person. Time is critical as their first session is May 9.
