Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

I hope this letter finds you well.  When I wrote to you this past June, I spoke of our plan to bring the Community back together in a manner that complies with CDC Guidelines and that renews our spiritual enthusiasm.  It was my sincere belief that we were in fact coming out of the Covid-19 pandemic and that we could begin safely assembling once more.  Alas, the Delta Variant of the virus has created a resurgence in infections throughout the hill country region.

Over the last several weeks, I have been in communication with area church leaders and learned a number of our community members have been stricken with the virus to the point where gathering is not considered a safe practice at this time.  Further review of local medical information shows that while the number of vaccinations has increased, the number of hospitalizations for Covid patients is yet overwhelming our local hospitals.

Therefore, I believe it is in our best interest to cancel the Gathering scheduled for next Monday, September 13th at Cross Tracks Church be postponed until October 11th and the Gathering scheduled for Monday, September 27th at Marble Falls FUMC be postponed until October 25th.  Hopefully by next month, we will see sufficient recovery to once again gather together to share a meal and enjoy a chapel service.

Do not despair.  Our God has control of all that is happening.  Our call is to care for one another and our fellow man.  Our service to God remains our greatest commandment.  Trust in Him.  Remain vigilant in his service, reach out to those who need help, a kind word, or a favor.  His greatest commandments call on us to Love Him and to Love One Another.  He is with us, ALWAYS!
