Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:

I hope this letter finds you well, filled with faith and anxious to serve the Lord.

A few weeks back, I wrote to you to let you know that the Board voted to postpone Walks for this year until the fall.  Included in that letter I told you of our plans to hold a limited Gathering to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord.  Today I am delighted to announce that our Easter Gathering will be held at Marble Falls FUMC on Monday, March 29th, at 7:00 p.m.  We have received approval from the church to gather for the evening to conduct a celebration of our Lord’s Passion and Resurrection.  The church has once again agreed to let us broadcast the service via their live streaming capabilities.  We will be observing the protocols of social distancing and the wearing of masks throughout the service while in the building.  Regrettably, we will not be able to host a potluck dinner.

For those of you who are uncertain about attending in person, we are excited to announce that we will be “Livestreaming” our Gathering “Live” via Facebook.

  • There will be 2 questions to answer and you will be admitted to the Group.
  • Once joined, you will be able to view the Livestream of the Gathering.
  • Audio and Video will be one way (broadcast to the viewer).  You can post comments during the service, but no direct communications from people viewing online to the presenters.

In the meantime, know that we want to include your prayer concerns as part of the service whether you attend or participate online.  Please forward your concerns to Tom Ruiz at the email address listed below so we can announce them during the service.

A very special thanks to Pastor Jason, Mike McKeown and the band members, Tom Bornschein for securing our 4th Day speaker, Alan Bazard, Mark Webb, and the MF-FUMC Audio/Visual team for their efforts to enable the livestream link and to the church council of MF-FUMC for their contributions in making this event happen.

We look forward to gathering with you to celebrate the passion and resurrection of Our Lord.  May His peace be with all of you throughout the days to come.  De Colores!

As ever, I remain your humble servant,

Tom Ruiz
